Jose Andres says he’s inked a deal with the Trump Organization to open a signature restaurant in the future Trump International Hotel, Washington, DC.

“We don’t have a concept yet,” says Andres, or a name, but an esteemed New York-based architect is thisclose to signing on the project as well.

In a press announcement, entrepreneur Donald Trump said, “We’ve tapped one of the very best in the field … to create a restaurant concept that will live up to the unrivaled offerings of what will be one of the finest hotels anywhere in the world.”

With a budget of $200 million, the 270-room luxury hotel is expected to open in mid-2016 in the now-vacant Old Post Office Pavilion on Pennsylvania Avenue. The flagship dining room will be located off the hotel lobby, for which Andres will also create a menu. As per custom in his company, no one chef in his ThinkFoodGroup will be appointed lead. “The team is what makes us strong.”
