Restaurateurs Jeremy King and Chris Corbin are moving into the luxury hotel market and opening a new property in London’s Mayfair this summer.
The Beaumont, which has a listed Grade II-listed Art Deco exterior, is close to Oxford Street and is a short walk from Hyde Park.
King and Corbin have been partners in the restaurant business for more than 30 years and are behind establishments such as The Wolseley and The Delaunay in London.
The hotel’s 73 guestrooms include a presidential suite, with up to five bedrooms and a terrace; eight one-bedroom deluxe suites; 13 executive or junior suites; 13 deluxe rooms; 17 executive rooms; and 20 superior rooms.
It will also feature a 24-hour gym, a Turkish bath and treatment areas, and free wifi will be available throughout the hotel.
Meeting facilities will include a boardroom and private dining room with 16 covers for a board meeting and 30 covers for a private meal.
The Beaumont will also feature a Corbin & King restaurant, two bars and an inhabitable sculpture “Room” designed by Antony Gormley.
The property is the first five-star hotel to open on Grosvenor’s Mayfair estate in the last decade.
