Grand Central Terminal is a legendary location a travelers. Buying a ticket to anywhere under a sparkling ceiling of constellations and checking the four-faced clocks atop ticket booths. But even when you are staying the night, the Westin New York Grand Central keeps you moving.
Reading travelers minds they offer an experience that renews and rejuvenates you after a long day on the tracks. We suggest you start your day off with an organic juice at LCL and a quick bite. Although we plugged in and read our NYDN and NY Times to catch up on the city we had to check in on who the THE LCL: Bar & Kitchen’s DJ was that night!
After a tasty omelet with fresh tomatoes and onions grown on the roof of the hotel (WHAT? Yeh!) we walked into the white tea scented lobby to chat with the concierge. He helped up set up a RunWestin guided run up the East River. We chose the 3 mile run but a 5 mile tour is also available. The piece de resistance of the Westin New York Grand Central in our opinion was that we could borrow sneakers! They have a program where guests who forgot to pack their tennis shoes can score a pair in their size, a fresh pair of socks and new insole. If you are not able to brave the weather outside for the run, make sure to take advantage of this service at the Westin’s gym on the 2nd floor of the hotel.
