On Saturday 6th October 2012, the World Travel Awards (WTA) were announced in the Algarve, Portugal. Europe’s leading luxury ski tour operator, Le Chardon Mountain Lodges, was victorious, walking away with the award for France’s Leading Ski Operator*.
Europe’s senior tourism figures and international media travelled from 35 nations to attend the event in Portugal. At the ceremony, Le Chardon Mountain Lodges was crowned France’s Leading Ski Operator* – beating off stiff competition from other leading luxury ski operators.
The WTA awards programme, hailed as the ‘Oscars of the travel industry’ by the global media, highlights and rewards those travel brands that have made the greatest contribution to the industry over the past year.
“We are very proud to receive this recognition from our peers, journalists and guests,” said Paul Gow, Director at Le Chardon Mountain Lodges, “the fact that these accolades are awarded by both experts and the public is one of the reasons why the World Travel Awards are regarded as the ‘Oscars’ of the industry. By winning this award it shows that Le Chardon Mountain Lodges’ luxury ski holidays are the benchmark for excellence within the ski industry.”
Le Chardon Mountain Lodges’ ski holidays start from £995 pp, for a week at the luxurious, slope-side Chalet Mistral (sleeps 14 – seven en-suite bedrooms). Prices are based on two adults sharing and include seven nights’ catered chalet accommodation (daily breakfast and afternoon tea, plus champagne and canapés, followed by a gourmet evening meal six days a week with beer, wine, soft drinks and mixers), in-resort chauffer service and comprehensive winter sports insurance. Flights and transfers extra.
