Spa-licious Vacation Spots We Recommend

Whether you are in the USA, the middle of the ocean, or enjoying the coastal scene, the one part of vacation that makes it feel like vacation is a trip to the spa. Below are three of our recommendations of luxury spas around the world. We would love to hear if you have been, are planning to go, or if you gasped in horror that your favorite hotel spa is missing from this list!

For a location with open blue skies and a backdrop that exudes old memories of American history is the Four Season at Santa Fe. The hotel is nestled in the mountains for a holistic approach to your stay. Open seven days a week, the Santa Fe Rancho Encantado Spa offers classic and regionally inspired massages. With big open windows, flowing curtains, a fireplace, and lit candles, this spa has the ambiance for nothing except complete and utter relaxation. As you receive your massages and facials in one of their 15 uniquely decorated zen-inspiring rooms, you are able to feel the open desert air, with private outdoor bathing and private courtyard at your disposal. Tune into the past and experience techniques from the indigenous Pueblo Indians. These Southwestern-inspired treatments work with traditional Eastern medicine to provide healing and practice the aesthetic arts.

One of our favorite options for a day at the spa is the island feel. The Trump Hotel Waikiki is located on the beaches of Oahu and combines the world-class Trump Spa treatments as well as authentic Hawaiian ones you won’t find anywhere off these American islands. The spa is open daily and offers a variety of treatments to suit any fancy. Exclusive to this resort are the Hawaii treatments. After a day at the beach, we hope you try the sun healing chill bath and body wrap to avoid and repair damaged skin for a luminous healthy glow. Or to give your body a fresh start there is the Hawaiian pineapple lime exfoliation scrub as well as the Hawaiian sugar scrub. The traditional Hawaiian holistic massage is called the Lomilomi and is offered for 60 minutes. Meditation is encouraged to enhance your massage experience. Also offered are gemstone massages, hot stone massages, waxing services, body therapies, and Kate Sommerville facials. Though there are many treatments, there are even more people who want to enjoy them! Cut the crowds by making your reservations before arrival to the hotel.

On the Arabian Sea is the Armani Hotel Dubai. This exquisite hotel boasts elegant stays, fine dining, and superb retail. But, it is hard to enjoy any of these things if you are tense and stressed. You absolutely need to book a trip to the calming Armani Spa. The Spa is open seven days a week and encourages a half-day (4 hours) or a full day (8 hours) to get the most out of their holistic and tailor-made treatments. A full day of luxurious treatments includes an organic daily food menu, a training session at a state of the art gym, tranquil pools, sauna, steam bath, and sequential showers. However, if you would just like treatments before a night out, one of note is the Essential Touches. Lay back and enjoy 25-minute sequences of massages that focus on the head, back, foot, body scrub, and mini facial. You can follow this up by enjoying your choice of final touches that include a 60 minute skin polish, and 30 minute perfection polish, and a 15 minute finishing buff.
